Head Teacher’s Introduction

Welcome to Ardler Primary School.

Mrs Love - Head Teacher

Mrs Love - Head Teacher

I am Sheila Love and have been here since January 1992. I started as AHT with responsibility for Early Years, then became Depute of the school before taking over as Head Teacher in October 2002.

I receive excellent support from Louise Reid, my Depute, and my very enthusiastic and hard working support and teaching staff. They are committed to ensuring that the learning experiences they provide for their pupils will be a positive stimulus for personal achievement.

You will see from the photographs that the pupils are actively engaged in their learning in our bright, large classrooms. As well as rising attainment, our pupils achieve great success in expressive arts.

The school has played an important role in the regeneration of Ardler Village, which is almost complete. There will be one last phase of further building.

The school roll continues to rise and will be 130 pupils in P1-P7 and 60 (30/30) in the nursery class for the new session. The roll has meant small classes, which is undoubtedly of benefit to all pupils.

We have already made strong links with the community and it is our intention, as a school to increase these links and to actively seek to create even further involvement in the new community of Ardler Village.

This web site can only give an outline of the school and the facilities we offer. If you wish to view the school, to see the facilities we offer and to meet the staff and pupils, please call the school office and we will arrange a visit.

In addition to nursery to P7 classes, we have a Family Support Centre located in the building.
